At Belmont, we recognize the need for children’s high-quality psychiatric care. Belmont Behavioral Health offers a structured inpatient program for young people ages 5 to 12 in a safe, supportive environment. Most activities for the children, including meals, , playtime, t, therapy and medical services, are self-contained in one private area of the facility. An enclosed, outdoor play area is also available Academic instruction is offered both on the unit and in an off unit classroom by a certified teacher. We believe that families are essential to their children's treatment, and every effort is made to involve the family in the treatment process. The program is also strongly committed to preparing children and their families for discharge and community based follow-up care.
