    Accurate evaluation and diagnosis are key for effective treatment. Your diagnostic process may include:

    • Neurodiagnostics, a specialized set of diagnostics that studies and records the electrical activity in the brain and nervous system to determine if they are functioning properly:
      • Electroencephalography (EEG) measures and records the electrical activity of your brain
      • Evoked Potential measures how long it takes for stimulation of different nerves to reach the brain and how big the response is
      • Electromyography (EMG), measures electrical activity that occurs when muscles contract and relax
    • Computerized monitoring of patients with sleep problems and seizures
    • Brain imaging tests, such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for advanced diagnosis of neurological and vascular problems
    • Nerve and muscle biopsies and neuropathological examination
