PHILADELPHIA, January 28, 2013 - Dennis D. Pfleiger, Jr., has been appointed Vice President, Healthcare Services at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery located in East Norriton, Pa. In this role, Pfleiger has administrative responsibility for numerous departments and services, including: Materials Management, Facilities and Security, Patient Access/Patient Financial Services, Health Information Management, Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Services.
Prior to joining Einstein, Pfleiger was Vice President Operations/Business Development at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, Pa., where he had direct responsibility for key clinical, ancillary and support services, and system-owned medical practices. Before his appointment as Vice President, Pfleiger served as Director of Patient Services at Sacred Heart Hospital, managing various departments, including: Respiratory, Interventional Radiology, Radiation Oncology and Neurosciences. Pfleiger is a registered respiratory therapist and earlier in his career he worked as a staff respiratory therapist at Quakertown Hospital in Quakertown, Pa., and St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa., and later served as Director of Respiratory Care at Palmerton Hospital in Palmerton, Pa.

Pfleiger earned a bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care from St. Joseph's College in Standish, Maine, and a master's degree in Business Administration from Bellevue University in Nebraska. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Lambda Beta - National Honor Society Respiratory Care, and a past board member of Cetronia Ambulance Corporation.
He resides with his family in Quakertown, Pa.
