Dixieanne James has been promoted to Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development for Einstein Healthcare Network. In her new role, James will oversee Einstein’s strategic planning and business development functions, focusing on identifying and prioritizing short- and long-term growth opportunities for the network’s many locations and clinical service lines.
James will partner with Einstein’s clinical, research, academic and administrative leadership to develop and implement volume- and revenue-generating strategies that position Einstein for success as the healthcare environment continues to go through an unprecedented level of change.
“Dixie’s expertise in strategic planning, business development and operations optimization will continue to be an asset to Einstein as we adapt to this new era of population health management and look for innovative ways to deliver better-coordinated, high-quality care,” says John Finger, Chief Administrative Officer for Einstein Healthcare Network.
James joined Einstein as Corporate Director of Strategic Planning in March 2008. At that time, her responsibilities included developing and monitoring long-range strategic plans and service line business plans. She managed Einstein’s Strategic Planning analytics team and served as a resource on healthcare reform initiatives, population health management strategies, competitor intelligence and market trends.
In April 2012, James was named Associate Vice President, Physician Enterprise Development and Operations. She had operational and financial responsibility for managing activities and supporting the departments of Orthopedics, Surgery, Urology, Medicine, and Cardiovascular Services, and outpatient multispecialty ambulatory sites such as the new locations in Collegeville and Holmesburg. She also supported physician recruitment and contracting, and clinical integration initiatives.
James earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Health Systems Management from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, and a Master of Business Administration – Healthcare Management & Marketing from Loyola College, Baltimore, MD.
She is an active member of the Society of Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Black MBA Association.
