    Published: 12/18/2012

PHILADELPHIA, December 18, 2012 – Einstein’s Breast Program earned a three-year re-accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. The Breast Program, directed by Lisa Jablon, MD, FACS, is multidisciplinary -- encompassing radiation oncology, medical oncology, pathology, surgery and genetics.

Accreditation by the NAPBC is given to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance. After an exhaustive evaluation, Einstein’s Breast Program was commended for its commitment to quality improvement; outreach to a diverse community; commitment to improving patient care; improvement in use of image guided biopsy; and overall involvement of a multidisciplinary team. By achieving NAPBC re-accreditation, Einstein’s Breast Program has demonstrated a firm commitment to offer its patients every significant advantage in their battle against breast disease, including:

    • Comprehensive care and a full range of the latest services
    • A multidisciplinary team approach to coordinate the best treatment options
    • Information about ongoing clinical trials and new treatment options
