  • Einstein Healthcare Network’s Auxiliary Raises Over $1.2 Million for Enhanced Maternity Care with 61st Annual Harvest Ball

    Published: 11/08/2013

On November 2, Einstein Healthcare Network’s Auxiliary hosted its 61st Annual Harvest Ball. Proceeds from this year’s campaign, Enhancing Maternity Care…Building for the Next Generation of Einstein, will support maternal care throughout Einstein Healthcare Network.

Enhancements include the renovation of post-partum rooms from semi-private to private at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, and adding another Labor and Delivery room at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. In addition to the physical upgrades taking place at the two hospitals, babies and new families will experience other benefits including bedside diagnostic testing and increased bonding with babies who are able to stay in the room with mom day and night.

This year’s Harvest Ball, attended by more than 650 guests, proved to be the Auxiliary’s most successful to date, raising close to $1.25 million. Over the last six decades, Einstein’s Auxiliary has raised more than $15,000,000 for vital projects throughout the network.

During the evening festivities, Maddy and Harvey Rovinsky, long-time supporters of Einstein Healthcare Network, as well as Bernie Robbins Jewelers, were honored by the Auxiliary. Maddy Rovinsky is an Auxilian and serves on Einstein’s Board of Overseers. She is also Co-chairman of the Albert Einstein Society’s Innovative Program Allocation Committee, which grants seed money to Einstein physicians and employees who develop original, inventive ideas to improve healthcare delivery.
