Harvest Ball 2012.
On November 2, Einstein Healthcare Network’s Auxiliary will host its 61st Annual Harvest Ball. Proceeds from the gala will support enhanced maternal care throughout Einstein Healthcare Network.
Through the annual Ball, the Auxiliary has raised more than $15,000,000 over the last six decades. This year’s campaign, Enhancing Maternity Care…Building for the Next Generation of Einstein, is already on track to be Einstein’s most successful with over $1.2 million raised for the project.
Einstein is expanding its maternity care services to accommodate growing volumes. In the last 15 years, 19 hospitals in the region have closed their maternity and obstetrics units. Einstein expects to deliver more than 5,000 babies this year.
Proceeds from the Harvest Ball will directly benefit moms and babies delivering at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia and Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. Einstein Philadelphia is renovating its post-partum rooms from semi-private to private while an additional Labor and Delivery room is under construction at Einstein Montgomery.
“We’re tremendously excited for these renovations,” shares David Jaspan, DO, Chairman of Einstein’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition to the physical changes taking place at the two hospitals, babies and new families will experience other benefits including bedside diagnostic testing and increased bonding with babies able to room-in day and night. “Our expansion will mean a better experience for our families, for our caregivers and most importantly for our babies,” says Jaspan.
