Einstein Healthcare Network earned the Top New Company Award from the American Heart Association (AHA) for raising more than $46,000 for the Heart Walk to help combat heart disease and stroke, the country’s number one and number four killers, respectively. Team captains from throughout Einstein Healthcare Network successfully recruited more than 400 employees, friends and family members to join the three-mile Heart Walk held November 9 at Citizens Bank Park. “I am delighted that so many people from the Einstein family came out to support the fight against heart disease and look forward to continuing our participation in future AHA outreach initiatives,” said Vince Figueredo, MD, Einstein cardiologist and President of the American Heart Association’s Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter.
The event included an optional one-mile route for survivors of heart disease, a Kids Zone, a visit from the Phillie Phanatic, live entertainment, batting cage access for Top Walkers, and more.
