The Einstein Healthcare Network expanded its reach deeper into Montgomery County this week with the opening an outpatient-care center in Collegeville, Pa.The 19,000-square-foot facility in the Providence Town Center will provide primary-care services along with pain management, orthopedics, hepatology for advanced liver disease, nephrology for kidney disease, endocrinology, rheumatology and cardiology.The site will also offer integrative medicine, which combines traditional treatment with alternative methods such as massage and acupuncture. In addition, the center will have an outpatient laboratory; a radiology department for X-rays and other scans; and a branch office of MossRehab, Einstein’s rehabilitation hospital.Beth Duffy, chief operating officer of Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton, Pa., said the opening of the center is part of Einstein Healthcare’s effort to make advanced medical care “readily accessible” to patients close to their homes across Montgomery County.Duffy first discussed plans for the Collegeville facility early last fall.Einstein, based in Philadelphia, opened Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in central Montgomery County in September 2012.The outpatient care center in Collegeville, in the western part of the county, is on Market Street near the interchange of Routes 422 and 29.
