Influenza is a seasonal disease that spreads via airborne droplets and contaminated surfaces. It's highly contagious - people can spread the flu even if they don't know they’re sick. Influenza spreads mainly person-to-person when infected people cough or sneeze.

We at Einstein Healthcare Network are asking hospital visitors to limit or postpone your visit if you currently have any cold and/or flu like symptoms. There are many patients in the hospital who already have weakened immune systems and cannot risk being exposed to respiratory illnesses.
