    Published: 03/28/2014

All About Art, MossRehab's international juried exhibition and sale of art by professional artists with disabilities, is set to run from April 24 through June 24, 2014 at our Main Campus in Elkins Park, Pa.

The festivities kick off with the Patron’s Preview Party on April 24, from 6-9 p.m. You can register here. You can also view the exhibition during normal business hours through June 24. There is no fee or ticket required. To schedule a free group tour call 215-663-6100 or email allaboutartmossrehab@einstein.edu.

All About Art is dedicated to heightening awareness of the strength, creativity, and spirit of people with physical limitations. Eligible media include works on paper, works on canvas or board, mixed media, sculpture, jewelry, photography and fine crafts.

There are 229 pieces of artwork by 69 artists set for display in this year's exhibition, plus more than 90 pieces of jewelry and other accessories such as scarves and small handbags. Prices range from $50 to $2,500, with most less than $900.

This year, the exhibition honors the memory of Paul A. Tanker, who supported the mission of MossRehab for more than four decades.

Originally known as the "International Exhibition by Artists with Physical Disabilities," the All About Art event was inaugurated by MossRehab in 1979. After a few years off, the exhibit returned in 2005 and has become an annual event. It is believed to be the first east coast exhibition of its kind. The Art Committee annually requests prominent members of Philadelphia's art scene to jury the show and recognize exceptional artwork through awards.

All About Art proceeds this year will fund patient programming for The Alice and Herbert Sachs Therapeutic Conservatory at MossRehab.
