PHILADELPHIA, February 20, 2013 -- Thomas L. Gaylets has been appointed Assistant Vice President of the Interventional Platform at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. In this role, Gaylets oversees the Interventional Platform which consists of Surgery, Interventional Radiology and Interventional Cardiology. The Interventional Platform is a groundbreaking design concept and an innovative approach to medicine which provides higher quality, improved safety and greater efficiency for patients and healthcare practitioners by designing space for these procedures in close proximity to other vital services.

Prior to joining Einstein, Gaylets was the Administrator/Director of the Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology Lab, Heart and Vascular Institute at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, Pa . During his tenure at Pocono Medical Center, he also served as Director of the Cardiovascular Unit and Cardiovascular Laboratory. Earlier in his career, he was manager of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Interventional Services at Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pa.
Gaylets earned a bachelor of science degree in Nursing from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and a master of science degree in Health Care Administration from King’s College in Wilkes Barre.
