  • MossRehab Art Therapy

MossRehab's Art Therapy Program and the Philadelphia Museum of Art have long been dedicated to the important place art has—and should have—in the lives of all people, including those with physical and cognitive disabilities. Together, the two partners are providing an opportunity for people with disabilities to express themselves, cope with their limitations, and develop fine motor skills and dexterity while also connecting with one of the world's great art institutions.

Some elements of this MossRehab outpatient art therapy program:

    • A special, adaptive tour of the Philadelphia Museum of Art
    • Three art therapy sessions where you'll create art based on what inspired you at the Philadelphia Museum of Art
    • Submission of your art to possibly be exhibited in the Philadelphia Museum of Art's Education Corridor during their Community Partner exhibit, called "Bridges" held each year.
    • Showing of your work in a special exhibit at our "All About Art" exhibit of artwork by professional artists with disabilities

The Pennsylvania Therapeutic Recreation Society recently honored MossRehab's Art Therapy department with an "Outstanding Special Event Award" for this art therapy program.
