Approximately 1,900 Major and 2,100 Minor Surgical procedures Annually

Director of Gynecology and Associate Residency Director: David M. Jaspan, DO, FACOOG
Associate Residency Director: Philip Horn, MD, FACOG
Our Division of Gynecology is taking a leadership role in clinical care and resident education in the area of minimally invasive
surgery, under the leadership of David Jaspan, DO, Philip Horn, MD, and John Myers, DO.
Patients requiring general gynecologic care (annual care, health promotion and disease prevention, non-surgical complaints,
and contraception) are seen and provided care in the resident continuity care system and offices of the faculty.
Patients requiring general gynecologic surgery are identified in the continuity clinics and in consultations, and are evaluated
preoperatively. When these patients need surgical care, they are then referred to the pre-operative clinic for care by the
gynecologic surgery team.
Patients with urogynecologic problems and those requiring advanced laparoscopic and pelvic surgery are also seen and evaluated
by the faculty. Residents will operate with them and learn the appropriate selection of cases and the skills necessary to
perform advanced gynecologic, laparoscopic, and urogynecologic surgery.
