Gynecologic oncology experience is obtained through the division of gynecologic oncology at Albert Einstein Medical Center
and the gynecologic oncology department at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

ALBERT EINSTEIN MEDICAL CENTER
Inpatient and outpatient gynecologic oncology care is provided one day a week by Dr. Charles Dunton, assisted by Dr. David
Holtz. Dr. Dunton operates one day a week and has a gynecologic oncology office in the Women's Center. Residents participate
in the full range of surgical oncology procedures and the complex pre- and post-operative care of these patients while inpatients
in
our Women's Care Pavilion and co-manage patients with intensivists when these patients require intensive care. Patients receiving
radiation therapy are supervised by our Division of Radiation Oncology. Residents participate in the care and plan follow
up of these patients. Patients who receive chemotherapy are cared for in our Cancer Center with Ob/Gyn residents participating
in and planing the follow up care of these patients.

FOX CHASE CANCER CENTER
Fox Chase Cancer Center provides additional experience in gynecologic oncology and complex gynecologic surgery in the setting
of a hospital devoted to oncology. Fox Chase Cancer Center is a leading cancer center where learning is accomplished in an
interdisciplinary model involving gynecologic and surgical oncology, medical oncology, and radiation therapy, as well as social
services and supports including hospice and end of life care. Fox Chase Cancer Center does not have a gynecologic residency
or fellowship so Einstein residents are the primary residents working with the board certified gynecologic oncologists. Residents
have an opportunity to work with the surgical oncology group in the operating room and with medical and radiation therapy
members of the care team.
PGY-3 residents rotate for two 6-week rotations in the gynecologic oncology division, where they participate in the evaluation
of oncology patients and the surgical, medical, and radiation therapy of patients referred to the center. Residents also participate
in the full range of complex surgical gynecologic procedures that gynecologic oncologists may perform and the associated pre-
and post-operative care.
