Caring for the area’s most challenging orthopedic cases for over 50 years at Philadelphia’s largest independent academic medical center.
Led by a TopDoc, Einstein Orthopedics is a selective team of physicians connected to a comprehensive healthcare system that includes MossRehab, the area’s only nationally ranked rehabilitation facility. We treat the most complex cases, including patients with multiple complicating conditions, trauma cases and corrective surgery for joints that have been poorly replaced.
Expert care. All of our physicians are board-certified and fellowship-trained. We are a Blue Distinction Center for hip and knee replacement and spine surgery, a designation by Blue Cross and Blue Shield that signifies our high level of care.
No quotas. We are not a volume-driven process. Our doctors are not paid by the number of surgeries or procedures they perform.
Individualized treatment. Thorough assessments that may lead to surgery or non-operative treatment plans, including pain management, physical therapy or a combination of services.
Access is important to us. Our surgeons meet with you before and after surgery to explain your procedure and answer questions.
Specialized procedures. As a teaching institution, Einstein engages in ground-breaking research and offers the latest treatments, including:
- Minimally invasive spine surgery. We were one of the first in the region to offer this small-incision technique that promotes faster healing.
- Outpatient knee replacement. Many total joint replacements can be performed without a hospital stay.
- Gender-specific joint replacement for women that takes the female body’s differences into consideration, resulting in a more stable joint.
- Cartilage reconstruction. A patient’s own healthy cartilage is used to replace damaged cartilage.
- Tumor patients. We specialize in operating on cancer patients whose surgeries require a greater level of precision.
- Sports medicine. Our physicians have served as team doctors to area sports teams, including Arcadia University and Penn State University’s Abington campus.
