Arthritis

  • Surgery is an option for patients whose arthritis pain can no longer be managed with medication. Our goal is to provide you with a stabile, mobile joint that is pain-free, allowing you to resume an active life.

Einstein orthopedic surgeons have immediate access to a full spectrum of specialists in our network, meaning we are equipped to deal with the most complicated surgeries or co-occurring conditions, including patients who are overweight.

    We offer:

Early mobilization. Patients are up and out of bed the day following surgery, under the care of a physical therapist and nurse.

Daily Team evaluations. After surgery, your discharge date will be determined by your nurse, physical therapist, social worker and doctor, who work together to monitor your progress.

Multi-modality pain management.  A combination of medication deliveries – including intravenous medication, oral medication and peripheral nerve blocks - are used to reduce pain for the patient.

Top 10 rehabilitation facility. Our network includes MossRehab, ranked one of the country’s top 10 facilities by U.S. News & World Report, offering a convenient option for qualifying patients to begin rehabilitation.

Osteonecrosis care. Surgery to correct severe arthritis of the hips caused by sickle cell disease, performed in conjunction with hematology experts.

Patient-specific implants. Custom implants and surgical equipment that is custom made for your body, resulting in precise, long-lasting knee replacements that give you optimum function.

Gender-specific female knee replacement. Specially designed Zimmer ™ replacement knees based on a woman’s anatomy that allow for greater flexibility and stability.
