Hours and Policies
The primary location for the Einstein Healthcare Network, Einstein Medical Center is a 722-bed facility with an accredited Level l trauma center, Level III neonatal intensive care unit and more than 600 physicians and specialists.

Labor & Delivery (1st floor, Lifter Building)
24-hours, 7 days a week
Triage. In the triage unit, located on the 1st Floor of the Lifter building, one visitor is permitted at a time (multiple visitors may switch off).
Labor & Delivery Room. Two visitors, identified by the mother, are able to be with the mother-to-be in the labor room, also located on the 1st Floor of Lifter.
Children are not allowed to be present in labor and delivery or triage.
Recovery. Visitors may come from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. One support person - designated by the birth mother and wearing a hospital-issued ID bracelet - may visit from 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
NICU (2nd floor Lifter Building)
24 hours a day, 7 days a week
except during shift changes, which occur:
7-7:30 a.m., 3-3:30 p.m., 7-7:30 p.m., 11-11:30 p.m.
Un-designated visitors must be accompanied by a parent.
Designated visitors may also visit during visiting hours without being accompanied by a parent. The birth mother must first approve a designated visitor in writing. The visitor will be issued a band by hospital staff.
