Podiatric Surgery Residency Program
Albert Einstein Medical Center’s Podiatric Surgery Residency Program offers residents a diverse training experience in a healthcare
network that is located in the Philadelphia community. The Podiatric program is a two-year, PM&S 24 residency program, approved
by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME).
The Podiatric Surgical resident will have many opportunities to provide podiatric care through hospital, office, and clinic
settings. Each resident will participate in fully integrated rotations at the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network and office
based practices.
During the PGY-1 program rotation year the resident will receive training in medicine, non-podiatric surgery, and an introduction
to podiatric surgical cases. Core clinical rotations include pathology, anesthesiology, internal medicine, general surgery,
medical imaging, podiatric medicine, emergency medicine, and behavioral science.
The PGY-2 program rotation year is designed to have the resident work one-on-one with skilled physicians in podiatric surgery
and clinic. Rotations for the second year resident include vascular surgery, orthopedic surgery, podiatric surgery, rheumatology,
gait analysis/biomechanics, podiatric private practice.
