Albert Einstein Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry offers a general psychiatry training program to prepare you for
the broad practice of contemporary hospital and private practice psychiatry. Our educational framework builds on the understanding
that a person is a composite of mind, brain, body and environment. We organize and synthesize all treatment approaches to
this biopsychosocial perspective.
The four-year, AMA-approved program accepts eight qualified residents each year. The staff-to-resident ratio is high, and
individual clinical supervision is emphasized. Clinical rotations are carefully coordinated between Einstein Medical Center
and Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment, and a variety of subspecialty rotations and electives is available. These
aspects, combined with our friendly and flexible atmosphere, enable you to create a personalized curriculum that reflects
your special interests.
Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment is a 147-bed private psychiatric hospital with many innovative subspecialty programs.
Albert Einstein Medical Center is a large, independent academic medical center, with a major, well-established affiliation
with Thomas Jefferson University.
