The program covers all of the theoretical approaches and treatment modalities including psychodynamic individual adult, child
and adolescent therapy, as well as group, family, behavioral, psychopharmacological and hospital consultation-liaison psychiatry.
We provide a supportive atmosphere for residents, encouraging the development of psychotherapy skills and their practical
applications. We also prepare residents for the practice of psychiatry in a managed care environment. Our focus on practical
applications of psychotherapy principles includes an extensive demonstration of dynamic psychotherapy during the last two
years of training.

Individual clinical supervision remains the cornerstone of the educational program. Clinical faculty work closely with residents
on the on the inpatient units. During the outpatient rotations, each resident has two individual supervisors and four or more
sessions of group supervision each week. Additional guidance for special projects is arranged as needed.
