Our access center at Belmont can quickly schedule an evaluation, typically within hours of the initial phone call.
A comprehensive evaluation is conducted by one of our licensed social workers or psychologists, with psychiatrists available
for consultation and further assessment, if necessary. Treatment recommendations are made based on the evaluation.
The Triage and Evaluation Center evaluates emotional problems including:
· Homicidal or suicidal behavior
· Delusional behavior/psychosis
· Anxiety and depression

If you are located outside of the Philadelphia area and are experiencing an emergency situation you should:
· Call 911 for emergency service, or
· Go to the nearest hospital emergency room
· Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) to be connected to a trained counselor at a suicide
crisis center near you, or
· Ask a family member or friend to help you make these calls or take you to the hospital.
If you have a family member or friend who is in a crisis or suicidal:
· Do not leave him/her alone
· Get the person to the nearest emergency room
· Call 911 immediately if the person appears to be irrational or dangerous
