Inpatient Program - Older Adults
Belmont Behavioral Health provides the region’s most comprehensive range of inpatient care for older adults.
Inpatient care is available at Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment and Albert Einstein Medical Center. Our patients
are treated by our full-time staff of geropsychiatrists—psychiatrists who specialize in geriatric medicine. We work closely
with the patient and family members to help develop treatment solutions during the hospital stay and after discharge. Patients
themselves actively participate in goal-oriented treatment plans made just for them.
An Inpatient Dual Diagnosis Unit is also available for those suffering from both substance abuse and other behavioral health issue such as depression. Services
provided include:
- Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation
- Group, family and individual psychotherapy
- Leisure planning
- Stress management
- Wellness activities
- Family interventions
- Medication treatment and education
- Additional therapies, such as psychodrama, and art therapy
- Self-help referrals when appropriate
