Geriatric Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient/Outpatient Program - Older Adults

Belmont's Geriatric Partial/Intensive Outpatient/ Outpatient Programs, also known as the Community Outpatient Program for the Elderly, located throughout the Philadelphia region, offer an effective way to treat the behavioral health issue without hospitalization. The program helps older adults deal with issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, physical illness and disability. The Senior Recovery Track focuses on older adults who suffer from both substance abuse and behavioral health issues. Patients attend the partial/intensive outpatient/outpatient programs several hours a day, one to five days a week, depending on level of acuity. Other services provided by the program include:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation
  • Group and individual psychotherapy
  • Family meetings
  • Leisure planning
  • Stress management
  • Wellness activities
  • Medication treatment and education
  • Health education and management
  • Social service intervention
