Geriatric Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Program - Older Adults
Belmont's Geriatric Partial/Intensive Outpatient Programs, located throughout the Philadelphia region, offer an effective
way to treat the behavioral health issue without hospitalization. The program helps older adults deal with issues such as
depression, anxiety, grief and loss, physical illness and disability. Patients attend the partial/intensive outpatient programs
several hours a day, one to five days a week, depending on location. Other services provided by the program include:
- Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation
- Group and individual psychotherapy
- Family meetings
- Leisure planning
- Stress management
- Wellness activities
- Medication treatment and education
- Health education and management
- Social service intervention
