Treatment Services - Children's Programs
At Belmont, we recognize the need for children’s high-quality psychiatric care. Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment
offers a structured inpatient program for young people ages five to 12 in a safe, supportive environment. Our caring, expert
staff provides specialized treatment to children with a wide range of psychiatric difficulties, including:
- Depression
- Anxiety disorder
- Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder
- Oppositional defiant behaviors
- Bipolar disorder
- Psychotic disorders
All activities for the children, including meals, classroom, playtime, treatment, therapy and medical services, are self-contained
in one private area of the facility. An enclosed, outdoor play area is also available. If needed, the program can be subdivided
to provide different treatment tracks for younger and older children.
Services offered in the children's program include:
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
- Creative arts therapy
- Recreation therapy
- Family therapy
We believe that families are essential to their children's treatment, and every effort is made to involve the family in the
treatment process. The program is also strongly committed to preparing children and their families for discharge and community
based follow-up care.
