Patients should enter through the Emergency Department and ask the security guard to be directed to the Crisis Response Center (CRC).
Offers 24-hour-a-day, seven-days-a-week care for adults, children and adolescents who have psychiatric emergencies that interfere with their usual level of daily functioning.
The CRC is one of five centers designated by the City of Philadelphia to provide ready access to crisis evaluation and treatment for adults and the only CRC in the city that provides these services for children and adolescents.

The CRC is staffed by a team that includes a medical director who is a board-certified psychiatrist, board-certified child and general psychiatrists, registered nurses, psychiatric assistants, a master’s-prepared program director and master’s-prepared social workers.
No one is ever turned away
CRC services are available to all patients, regardless of health insurance coverage or ability to pay. Like a medical emergency, patients are seen on a walk-in basis and no appointment is needed.
