Outpatient Care - Substance abuse
Belmont Behavioral Health’s outpatient addictions treatment program is a highly respected, comprehensive program for the person
whose goal is to benefit from therapy and return to work, school or home life as quickly as possible while maintaining abstinence
and a program of recovery.
Services provided include:
- Individual, couples, group therapy
- Family collaboration and education meetings
- Full psychiatric evaluation and follow-up
- Full spectrum of addictions counseling services
- Regularly scheduled 12-step self-help meetings held at Belmont
All of Belmont's therapists are certified addictions counselors or masters prepared professionals. Treatment is provided under
the supervision of a board-certified psychiatrist. The multidisciplinary staff possess the sophistication to evaluate and
treat underlying psychiatric and psychological disorders.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The IOP is designed to minimize a patient's absence from work and family. Patients receive effective treatment personalized
to their needs and progress. Treatment usually lasts between three to 12 weeks, four days per week.
The IOP treatment plan may include:
- Aftercare services
- Alcohol/drug education
- Creative arts therapies
- Drug screening
- Family psycho-educational groups
- Group psychotherapy
- Individual counseling
- Psychiatric evaluation
- 12-step self-help groups
- Relapse prevention groups
- Anger management
- Life skills
- Music therapy
