Our breast health team, made up of surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists and radiologists, offers specialized care with:

Weekly meetings to review care options. Before deciding on the best course of treatment for individual patients, our specialists gather to discuss each case.
Prompt mammography appointments. If needed, appointments can be made as soon as the same or next day.
Referral appointments. Our breast surgeons see referrals as quickly as possible.
Multiple, convenient locations. Three facilities offer mammograms.

Leading Technology

Einstein uses the most advanced techniques in cancer care:

3D imaging. Known as digital breast tomosynthesis, this mammogram technique allows radiologists to see smaller areas of the breast and to look through dense breast tissue to spot abnormalities.
SonoCiné automated breast ultrasound. A clinically proven way to find more cancers, this technique is especially effective for womean with dense breast tissue. Einstein was the first facility in the region to offer SonoCiné technology.
Sentinel node biopsy. This procedure pinpoints which lymph nodes affected by breast cancer, resulted in fewer removals.
Skin-sparing mastectomy. Skilled surgeons perform immediate reconstruction of the breast with a patient’s own skin to create more natural-looking breast.
