On August 16, 2007, the West Oak Lane NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Community) program opened its doors. Funded by
grants from the Chestnut Hill Health Care Foundation and Ogontz Avenue Revitalization Corporation, the West Oak Lane NORC
provides assistance to people over 60.
This free program helps Northwest Philadelphians by giving older adults and those who care for them easier access to the information
and resources they need to remain at home as they age.
We can help you access assistance in many areas, including the following:
- Social Services
- Socialization
- Housing/Property Tax Rebate
- Home Maintenance and Repair
- Utility Assistance
- Medicare
- Medical Care
- Mental Health Care
- Volunteer Opportunities
- Employment
- Legal Assistance
- Transportation
We can assist you in paperwork completion related to any of these needs. In many cases, we can visit you in your home if
you are unable to easily travel to us. We also offer a friendly visitor program, and can assist with small errands.
