Echocardiography

"With the advanced technology we use at Einstein, we see the heart in more detail than we ever could before. Of course, this means a wider range of heart problems can be found in patients we were not able to diagnose in the past." — Al Ioli, RDCS, RCS Echo Lab Supervisor

Echocardiography sends ultrasound waves into your chest that rebound from the heart's walls and valves to create an image called an echocardiogram. This picture shows the size and shape of your heart and movement of its valves.

At Einstein Institute for Heart and Vascualr Health, new technology allows our echocardiographers to see inside your heart in greater detail and more clearly than ever before, while making diagnostic tests easier for you. Our upgraded echocardiography equipment gives you a fast, reliable diagnosis.

Our new stress echo system can provide images so accurate that many patients don’t have to undergo other invasive tests and can complete stress testing in as little as 30 minutes. And we’re moving to digital imaging to capture and store images so results are available more quickly.
