
Larry Jacobs, MD
Larry Jacobs, MD, is Director of the Echocardiographic Laboratory in the Section of Cardiovascular Disease, Division of Cardiology,
at Albert Einstein Medical Center, as well as Associate Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson
University. He also serves as Director of Medical Student Clerkship and Director of the Fellowship Program for the Section
of Cardiovascular Disease. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1982, where he subsequently completed internship
and residency training. He then completed clinical fellowships in cardiology and echocardiography at Yale University in New
Haven, Connecticut and Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, respectively.
Dr. Jacobs has authored more than 75 articles and abstracts in such publications as
Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, American Heart Journal and
Journal of the American College of Cardiology. In addition, he has authored numerous textbook chapters on such topics as geriatric cardiology, valve prosthesis and echo-Doppler
in valvular heart disease.
