
Richard Monheit, MD
Richard Monheit, MD, is a staff cardiologist at Albert Einstein Medical Center with expertise in electrocardiography. He also
serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University. He is board certified
in internal medicine.
Dr. Monheit brings an incredible wealth of experience to the practice of cardiology at Einstein Institute for Heart and Vascular
Health. He received his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College in 1943, and completed both his internship and residency
training at Jewish Hospital (now Albert Einstein Medical Center) by 1948. He later completed his residency training through
the American College of Cardiology.
A former captain in the United States Army, Dr. Monheit served during World War II from 1944 to 1946. Throughout his medical
career, he has been involved with numerous professional organizations, including both the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Medical
Societies, the American Heart Association and as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
