
Marjorie Seltzer Stanek, MD
Marjorie Seltzer Stanek, MD, is Director of the Cardiac Stress Laboratory at Albert Einstein Medical Center. She also serves
as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Stanek received her medical degree in 1972 from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She completed her internship and
her residency in internal medicine at Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. In addition, she
completed a residency in internal medicine at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases
at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. She is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases, and has a
special interest in women and heart disease.
She formerly served as a member of the Committee on Exercise & Cardiac Rehabilitation, Council on Clinical Cardiology, of
the American Heart Association. In addition, she has co-directed several day-long symposia on cardiac rehabilitation, as well
as having co-authored articles for professional publications.
