Chairman, Division Cardiovascular Diseases

D. Lynn Morris, MD, is Chairman, Division of Cardiovascular Diseases at Albert Einstein Medical Center and Director of Einstein Institute for Heart and Vascular Health. Dr. Morris recently joined Einstein from the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he served as the Chief of Cardiology since 1989. He has held other leadership positions, including Chief of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories and Director of Interventional Cardiology at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pennsylvania.

A graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, Dr. Morris completed his internship and residency training in the Department of Medicine at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. He served as Chief Medical Resident at the University of California, San Francisco, where he completed his fellowship in cardiology. Dr. Morris also completed a research fellowship at the Cardiovascular Research Institute, University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Morris has presented research findings and papers at professional society meetings and published in many scientific, peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of the American College of Cardiology, The American Journal of Cardiology, The Annals of Internal Medicine and The American Heart Journal. He is a member of numerous professional associations and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology; the Council on Clinical Cardiology; the American Heart Association; the American College of Chest Physicians; and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.

Dr. Morris is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.
