Hips, which bear most of your body’s weight, have two parts: a ball at the top of your thigh that fits into a socket in your
pelvis.
Knees are the largest joints in your body. Knees are made up of the bottom of your thighbone, the top of your shinbone and
a kneecap that covers where those bones meet. Strips of tissue called ligaments connect the bones, and cartilage cushions
the space in between. A thin membrane that releases fluid covers parts of these bones and keeps them from rubbing against
each other.
