Einstein’s Pancreas Transplant Program offers the latest in research, surgery and technology combined with a team approach
to patient care. The transplant team uses the latest anti-rejection drugs to prevent and treat rejection in transplant recipients.
Einstein’s program stands apart from others in that our pancreas team developed a unique technique that drains the fluids
of the pancreas into the intestine. This procedure greatly reduces the incidence of post-operative complications in pancreas
transplantation.
The Pancreas Transplant Program is one component of the Organ Transplantation Program at Einstein Medical Center, which also
includes kidney and liver transplantation.
