
Myrna Schwartz, PhD
Dr. Schwartz is Associate Director,
Moss Rehabilitation Research Institute. A specialist in cognitive neuropsychology, Dr. Schwartz received her doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania
and completed a fellowship at Johns Hopkins University Medical School. After serving as an assistant professor in psychology
at the University of Pennsylvania, she moved to MossRehab to conduct research on disorders of cognition and language.
Dr. Schwartz's research focuses on theoretical and applied studies of
aphasia (language loss) and apraxia (motor sequence disorder). She receives funding for her work from the National Institute of Neurological
Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), National Institute of Deafness and other Communications Disorders (NIDCD) and Albert Einstein
Society. Her research has been published in
Neuropsychology,
Brain and Language,
Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences and
Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation, among others.
