Carlene Quashie, MD
Director, Division of Maternal/Fetal Medicine
For the past eight years, Dr. Quashie has been caring for women at Einstein during their high-risk pregnancies. Dr. Quashie
believes that the best outcome for a pregnancy involves input from the mother and her physician. She is board certified in
maternal/fetal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Quashie specializes in treating pregnant women with medical complications
including HIV.
James William Byers III, MD
Perinatologist
Dr. Byers is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology with a sub-specialty certification in maternal-fetal medicine. He
is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine
and the National Perinatal Association. Prior to joining Einstein Medical Center, Dr. Byers was a Staff Perinatologist at
Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital.
Andrew F. Chau, MD
Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist
Dr. Chau has a special interest in utilizing ultrasounds and treating pre-term labor. He is board certified in maternal/fetal
medicine and obstetrics and gynecology. As Director of Research, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein
Medical Center, Dr. Chau believes that technology combined with compassionate care is the best treatment for high-risk pregnancies.
