Anesthesiologists in the Division of Cardiovascular Anesthesia provide comprehensive anesthesia care for patients requiring cardiovascular surgery. Their expertise enables them to diagnose and treat medical problems that may arise during and immediately after surgery, and provide coverage in the I.C.U.
Our anesthesiologists work with cardiovascular staff to provide high quality patient care for heart, lung and major vascular surgeries that can be related to conditions including hear failure, atherosclerosis, heart valve conditions, cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, mitral valve prolapse, and thoracic aorticaneurysms. Our anesthesiologists collaborate with cardiovascular surgeons and cardiologists using minimally invasive procedures when possible, and cutting-edge technology such as robotic heart surgery, trans-aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and the Impella CP, the world's smallest heart pump.
