Einstein offers a three-year ACGME-accredited program, accepting three fellows per year. Our program is unique in that fellows rotate through academic and private practice environments. These educational experiences occur in our large tertiary care teaching hospital (Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia), a smaller suburban teaching hospital (Einstein Medical Center Montgomery), and in our fast-paced ambulatory endoscopy facility. The fellowship provides extensive experience in liver diseases, as Einstein is home to one of the region’s largest and most successful liver transplant programs. Fellows will gain extensive experience in all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology with training being geared to those academically inclined as well as those who wish to pursue private practice.

A state-of-the-art esophageal laboratory offers the opportunity for advanced training during the fellowship and for participation in research. Additional areas of special focus and expertise among our faculty are Advanced Therapeutic and Hepatobiliary Endoscopy, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Transplant Hepatology, and Drug-Induced Liver Disease.

The fellowship leaders and faculty strive to achieve an excellent work-life balance for all, especially our fellows. There are regularly-scheduled educational conferences and ample opportunities to engage with one another on many levels.

We encourage you to apply to our fellowship program and join our family.
