Thank you for your interest in residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. All application materials are submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Our Department participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Currently, we recruit 3 residents per class. First-year Radiology positions begin at the PGY-2 level. The program requires 4 years of continuous full-time training.
The clinical internship year (PGY-1) must be obtained independently and should be completed prior to beginning the residency program. Einstein Medical Center Montgomery offers a Transitional Year Internship (PGY-1) if the candidate would like to complete all 5 years of training at the same hospital campus. Information on this application process is listed below.
USMLE Step 1 & 2 or COMLEX Step 1 & 2 results are required for the application to be considered. COMLEX Step 2 (PE) must be completed prior to graduation from medical school and USMLE Step 3 should be completed prior to residency or during internship year. All residents in this program are expected to meet eligibility requirements set forth by the American Board of Radiology and the Pennsylvania Board of Medicine.

We also want to encourage you to consider completing your internship within the Einstein Health System through our combination Transitional Year Internship/Diagnostic Radiology program. The Transitional Year Internship at the Einstein Montgomery campus is highly sought-after and provides great clinical training and education.
If you are invited for a Diagnostic Radiology interview, you will be a candidate for the combination Transitional Year Internship/Diagnostic Radiology program. You do not need to apply for the internship separately or interview with the Medicine Department. Your selection to interview for the Radiology program is sufficient and your application will be reviewed by the Internal Medicine Department and be considered for the combination program.
