The EMCM Internal Medicine Residency Program is a structured curriculum of 36 months duration. The program has adopted a 4+1 teaching block model design. Residents will spend four weeks of each block rotating on an inpatient, emergency medicine, or elective service. During one week of the five weeks block the resident will rotate in the continuity clinic.

The curriculum is designed to build a solid foundation in the vast array of topics that encompass the practice of internal medicine. The curriculum is presented in various formats ranging from online self-paced courses to regularly scheduled conferences. Most conferences will be case-based, interactive, hands-on sessions designed to enhance the resident's knowledge base.
