Our Division is working on joining the Rheumatology Informatics System for Effectiveness (RISE) Registry in 2020. RISE Registry was developed by the American College of Rheumatology (ACR). It is the first and the largest national EHR-enabled rheumatology registry in the United States. In addition to being a source of improving quality of care for our patients, the registry would also be a source of research for our Division. Additional research opportunities include participation in clinical trials, database studies, other research, and quality improvement/patient safety studies. New fellows are encouraged to identify areas of research interest early. Our fellows are expected to have abstract submissions to local, regional, and national rheumatology conferences. Submission of their scholarly work for publication and dissemination is required for graduation.
