Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park has streamlined its Emergency Department process, working diligently to reduce wait times and give patients an array of options for treatment, based on the level of care required. We provide high quality, walk-in medical care for both major emergencies and non-urgent health care needs. That’s one of the reasons this Emergency Department is noted for having among the shortest wait times and best patient experience scores in the region.

Pediatric Receiving Services

We work closely with EMS and local pediatric hospitals to provide outstanding pediatric emergency care . A recent grant from the 30th Anniversary Small Miracles Golf Tournament allowed all three Emergency Departments to acquire state-of-the-art technology to care for pediatric patients.

Toxicology/Addiction Medicine

Einstein has one of the largest toxicology divisions on the east coast, and our board certified toxicology and addiction medicine physicians are frequently called for consultations by local hospitals, ambulance corps and, through the City of Philadelphia Poison Control Center, individual patients. Our toxicologists provide expertise not just to the Emergency Department but also to patients throughout the hospital. We also see patients with toxicologic and/or addiction concerns at Elkins Park in our outpatient clinic.
