Cardiac Trauma

While penetrating heart trauma can lead to acute muscle or blood vessel damage, blunt cardiac trauma can be equally destructive. Severe blunt trauma to the heart can lead to critical muscle damage that reduces heart function, ruptures a chamber of your heart, or damages a critical heart valve. If you have sustained a major heart trauma, rapid intervention by an experienced team is key to survival.

Our heart specialists are skilled in the procedures needed to treat most heart trauma.
