Shared Governance

 It is a goal of the Nursing Service Organization to ensure and maintain a high level of professional performance by all nursing practitioners and to empower the staff to perform autonomously through formally established shared governance council/cluster/unit practice committees. The articles within the guiding principles describe the structure of shared governance of the Nursing Service Organization at Einstein Healthcare Network, and provide a framework for its operation. The Guiding Principles delineate the authority, responsibility and accountability of the professional nurse within a shared governance environment.
