35-year-old woman
16 week size fibroid uterus desiring fertility. History of a prior myomectomy.
Symptoms: Infertility; Increased urinary frequency; Pelvic pressure
Ultrasound: 17 cm uterus with multiple fibroids, large lower uterine segment fibroid
Examination: 14 week.

30-year-old woman
Endometrial cavity distortion due to fibroid uterus desiring fertility.
Symptoms: Infertility; Heavy menses; Increased urinary frequency; Pelvic pressure
Ultrasound: Uterus with multiple fibroids, large fibroid compressing endometrial cavity

42-year-old woman
16-week-size fibroid uterus not desiring fertility.
Symptoms: Heavy, irregular vaginal bleeding; Increased urinary frequency; Pelvic pain
Prior treatments: Failed treatment with Mirena IUD and oral contraceptive pills (OCPs)
Ultrasound: 10 cm central.

46-year-old woman
30-week size fibroid uterus not desiring fertility.
Symptoms: Heavy, irregular vaginal bleeding; Increased urinary frequency; Abdominal distension; Pelvic pain
Ultrasound: 30+ cm uterus with multiple fibroids Examination 30+ week size fibroid uterus.

22-year-old woman
Irregular vaginal bleeding and mass prolapsing through cervix initially believed to be a benign fibroid.
Symptoms: Spotting throughout the month
Ultrasound: Suspected fibroid in the endometrial cavity
Examination: Necrotic fibroid at top of the vagina.

33-year-old-woman
15-week size fibroid uterus not desiring fertility; Prior vaginal deliveries; One prior pelvic surgery.
Symptoms: Heavy menses; Increased urinary frequency; Dyspareunia (painful intercourse);
Ultrasound: Uterus with multiple fibroids
Examination: 15-week.

Research

In addition to his busy clinical practice of obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Jay Goldberg has published numerous research articles, primarily regarding uterine fibroids.
