The physicians in Einstein's Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery are committed to evaluating patients' skin care concerns, listening to their objectives and prescribing effective treatments and regimens that will meet their needs.
How Do Aesthetic/Cosmetic Skin Consultations Work?
You will meet with a physician who will evaluate your skin history, such as sun exposure and teenage acne; analyze your skin's texture, tone and overall appearance; and then make recommendations for non-surgical procedures and products that can help you meet your skin care goals.
Whether you're looking to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines, correct hyperpigmentation or scarring, address areas of redness or sensitivity or more - Einstein's Division of Plastic Surgery can help you get results.
What Can I Expect During and After the Consultation?
Your consultation will be structured around your unique skin care needs and goals, but in general:
- Your physician will review your daily skin care regimen; discuss areas of concern; talk about medication, sun exposure, diet and other factors that may affect your skin's appearance; and determine your post-treatment skin wellness goals.
- The doctor will then examine your skin, checking for textural changes and pigmentation, lines and wrinkles caused by aging or sun damage, scarring, visible veins or broken capillaries, enlarged pores and more.
- You will learn about products and non-surgical procedures that can help you reach your skin care goals. This discussion will include detailed descriptions of various procedures, treatment costs and timelines, and lifestyle tips for keeping skin healthy.
